MIMOSAS UPON ARRIVAL
AFTERNOON TEA
HORS D’OEUVRES,
LIMITED SEATING AVAILABLE!
RAIN OR SHINE UNDER OUR COVERED PAVILION!
As one of the new owners of Historic Cedarwood, I’m pleased to announce our second annual “Mother’s Day Tea” to the public. Upon arrival we will be offering mimosas. We will then direct your group to a beautifully arranged tea table whimsically set with mismatched fine china. After all guests are seated, Tea will then be served with a lovely spread of sweets and savories (Fruit juice will be available for the children’s teacups). We will then present a brief history of the “Afternoon Tea” with humorous do’s and dont’s! I encourage you to engage in family conversation and cherish this time with the mother or mothers you are honoring. We will have a photo area available for family photographs if you like. Additionally, an assortment of flowers will be available for each guest to make a bouquet to take home.
If this is your first visit to Historic Cedarwood please take a moment to tour the original house which was built in 1835. The house has served multiple purposes. It has been a residence, a stagecoach stop, a boarding house and is one of the few remaining “witness structures” to the Trail of Tears. You and your party are free to roam the grounds and have a memorable afternoon.
I look forward to seeing you soon!
Katie Jumper
Side note – We do not have highchairs or boosters, but you are welcome to bring your stroller to park at the table.
